The harassment project

The harassment project from mid-2014 to the end of 2015 is an integrated project that took place in stages in Aswan, its center and its villages, targeting young men and women, women from the local community and children.

The first stage was the preparation of cadres working on training and crystallization of the current legal mechanisms and aspects that hinder the proof clause regarding harassment, along with how to respond to all inquiries and societal arguments that blame the survivor for the occurrence of harassment.
The second phase, coordination of the project, which is made up of girls from each center in Aswan who have previously received training, to choose the rules for selecting participants and the specific places for targeting and ages, as well as local sentences that are considered sexual harassment to be included in publications that combat sexual harassment in Aswan and are close to the local environment.
The third stage, which is the launch of each of the field teams in the center, according to 8 workshops for each center, which specializes in two workshops for children, and includes an expression workshop in art, in order to empty their absorptive capacity for a thorny topic such as sexual harassment
The fourth stage, which is working together, introduces children’s drawings to educate the people of Aswan to take preventive measures with their children and make them aware that there is child molestation that can happen from anyone in nearby circles through drawings of children and talking to them during the workshops
